My name is Liliane, and I am raising funds for the most important person in my life: my mum. I hope this gets as much reach and attention as possible.

When I was only 3 years old, my mum adopted me. She was 57 at the time. Most people her age were preparing for retirement — but my mum was preparing to raise a child from a third-world country. She wanted to give that child the love, safety, and chances she deserved, and to protect her from the horrors of the Congo war.
 

I never intended to share our story with the world. Very few people — even my closest friends — know my past. But now the time has come, because my mum and I need your help.

Life was never easy for us. We both endured years of physical abuse, but my mum never let go of me and never left me alone. She protected me unconditionally, even when it meant facing more violence herself. She gave me a home. She gave me love. She gave me life.

Now my mum is 82 years old. On 23.07., she suffered a cerebellar hemorrhage that changed everything. She spent almost one month in intensive care, fighting for her life. Before that, she had already undergone a major operation on her right shoulder, which further weakened her.

For more than 3 months now, she has been in hospitals — surrounded by machines, sterile walls, and endless procedures. Today, her condition is very complex:
 

• She still depends on tracheostomy ventilation (via tracheal cannula).
• Her mobility is severely limited.
• Her path back to life will be a marathon — a long and arduous rehabilitation.
   

The hospitals have kept her alive, but they cannot give her life back.
 

That’s why I want to bring her to SolutCare Klinik. There:
 

• She will receive individual rehabilitation, tailored to her ventilation needs.
• She will have the chance to regain strength, mobility, and independence step by step.
• She will be treated as a human being — with dignity, compassion, and hope.
• She can finally see a beautiful environment with nature — instead of only cold hospital walls.
• And as her daughter, I am allowed to stay in a room at the clinic included in the cost, so that I can accompany her and be by her side.
   

But this treatment comes at a price: SolutCare Klinik charges over €7,000 per day. Without private insurance, we have to pay everything ourselves. For me alone, that’s impossible — but with the help of many, I can give my mum this chance at life.
