BACKGROUND

The ongoing conflict in Lebanon coupled with a severe economic crisis has left many families in a critical humanitarian situation.

In the latest escalations many people sought shelter in Abbassieh (South Lebanon) mainly in schools.

The local town counsel established an “Action Group” that is made up of volunteers from the local community who stayed behind.

The Action Group is working non-stop to provide essential supplies for families who lost their homes and livelihoods in a challenging context.

WHY A SELF-INITIATIVE

It is a grass-root initiative, from the people for the people. Delivering help to vulnerable people in the local community is a significantly faster, efficient and cost-effective way while restoring stability and dignity to families who have lost everything.

PURPOSE

Funds will be pooled to cover the ever-increasing costs of essentials, food, medicine, and medical supplies.
