Help My Friend Nader and His Family Rebuild Their Lives

I am writing this story about my dear friend, Nader Alnahhal, a husband and a father of two young daughters, Tala and Lana.

I am sharing Nader’s story because I want his voice and the struggles of his family to be heard. For the past two years, Nader, his wife, and their two daughters have been living in a tent in Al-Mawasi, Khan Younis, near the sea, after losing their home in Rafah.

Nader once had a home where his family could feel safe, sleep peacefully, keep their belongings, and create memories together. Today, that home is gone, and a fragile tent has become their shelter.

For two years, Nader and his family have had to endure the reality of living in a tent through every season. During the summer, the heat inside the tent can become unbearable, while during the winter, they face cold temperatures, rain, strong winds, and humidity. Living near the sea makes these conditions even more difficult.

For Nader, the hardest part is not only what he has lost himself, but watching his two daughters grow up without the safety and stability that every child deserves.

Their daily life is a constant struggle with basic necessities: safe and adequate shelter, clean water, food, sanitation, electricity, privacy, medicine, and suitable living conditions. These are not luxuries. They are the basic elements of a dignified human life.

As his friend, I am asking you to help Nader and his family.

We are not asking for a luxurious life. We are asking for the opportunity to live with dignity, to protect his family, and to give Tala and Lann a safer and more hopeful future.
